Government Initiative for Skill shortage in South Australia
The Australian Government has released the List of State Nominated Occupations for the 2019/20 program year. Some of these nominated professions include Welders, Fitters, Metal Machinists and Graphic Designers. You can see the full list at DAMA occupation lists.
South Australian employers are wanting to sponsor overseas workers in skilled and semi-skilled positions due to a shortage of local workers. Due to this, there is a greater demand for professionals in South Australia. There have also been some changes to the skilled nomination requirements.
