Eligibility for the 491 visa In order to become eligible to apply for the 491 visa: -You must have a full -time job in regional Victoria – You must be below the age of 45 – You must have at least 65 points – You must have an IELTS score of 6 in each band (alternative English tests are accepted) Offer of employment All applicants who wish to apply for the Victorian nomination for the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491) must provide evidence of a current offer of employment in a designated regional area. Further documents may be required from the Department of Home Affairs, should the office not be satisfied with the nature of the job offer.
