Here at AABD, our team of recruitment specialists can help match skilled workers with relevant qualifications and skills to jobs that employers, such as you, might have available. If you looking to hire workers in hospitality, we can help you with zero service fee.
According to the Department of Jobs and Small Businesses, employment in the Hospitality industry is expected to increase by 12.1% in the next five years, while currently, it has been growing at a steady rate of 1.9% with the growth attributed to factors such as the growing ”foodie” culture, consumer demand and the population growth.
There is, however, one major threat: the hospitality industry is seeing its lowest numbers in job applicants and workers in recent years. According to findings from Edith Cowan University lecturer, Dr Edmund Goh, the hospitality industry now has a 28% vacancy rate due to a shortage of skilled workers. The situation is even worse in regional areas, where employers are unable to build their business (despite the demand) as they cannot find the skilled staff that they need.
In attempting to overcome this, Hospitality employers are turning to the Temporary Skill Shortage Visa (Subclass 482) (TSS Visa) in seeking skilled overseas workers to fill the various vacancies within their business.
The TSS Visa is the most commonly-used pathway for employers to sponsor skilled workers on a temporary basis but also allows Australian business to employ a migrant worker for up to two to four years depending on the occupation, and in some circumstances provide a pathway to staying in Australia for a longer-term if the overseas worker has employer support.
With a rich history of being in recruitment for over a decade, AABD has assisted many employers and firms, mostly in regional areas of Australia, in sourcing the right talent who have helped build rural businesses and greatly enhanced the culture and economy in the local towns and regions they live and work in. Our parent company, Australia Migration Services, is a well-known migration firm that handles all visas and has processed numerous employer-sponsored visas, helping both candidates and employers reach a common ground.
