The Australian Computer Society (ACS) is the largest professional body in Australia representing the ICT sector and will now nominate Global Talent candidates under the GTI program.
ACS can provide nomination in the following categories:
- AgTech
- Space and Advanced Manufacturing
- FinTech
- Energy and Mining Technology
- MedTech
- Cyber Security
- Quantum Information, Advanced Digital, Data Science and ICT
Global Talent Independent Program (GTI)
The Global Talent Independent Program was launched on the 4th of November last year and offers a streamlined, priority visa pathway for highly skilled and talented individuals to work and live permanently in Australia.
The ACS has been working with Australian universities, industry bodies, and state and territory governments to bring the best talent from around the world, while creating opportunities for Australians by transferring skills, promoting innovation, and creating job opportunities.
How to apply
You will first need to apply for an Expression of Interest under the Global Talent program. The next step will be to apply for a Distinguished Talent visa.
As part of the application, you will need to be endorsed by a nominator who has a national reputation in the same field as you and is either:
- an eligible Australian citizen, resident
- eligible New Zealand citizen
- an Australian organisation.
