Changes to VETASSESS skills assessment

One of the most important documents you’ll need for skilled migration to Australia is a skills assessment! It is designed to assess your qualifications, skills, and work experience related to your nominated occupation.

Currently, VETASSESS considers paid doctoral research level studies as valid employment for skills assessment purposes.

After 15 December 2018, VETASSESS will not accept paid doctoral studies for skills assessment purposes. This means applicants must be paid at the market rate of the occupation.

If you’re on living allowances or scholarships, sadly, it would not meet the requirement of ‘remunerated’ employment.
