NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet announced that 250 international students per fortnightly will be welcomed to approved student quarantine accommodations from July. This is supposed to boost the economy and support hospitality industry. He also announced that the number would increase up to 500 students per fortnightly by the end of this year. It is said that approximately 50,000 international students are trying to get into NSW currently.
