Quarantine hub in SA is approved by federal government: International students can come back to SA!

The hub based on Parafield Airport at Adelaide can accommodate international students for two-week quarantine. The hub will host up to 160 students. The accommodation seems to be single ground floor units and there’s no corridor, which means the facility is well ventilated. It is said that SA will be the first state to bring international students back to the country after Australia shut its border due to COVID-19. The students and educational institutions will be required to par for the quarantine and flight tickets. This plan is supposed to initiate from this August. In addition, on the early this month, PM Scott Morrison announced that the government was working on schemes to allow international students back in NSW and NT as well. Premier Steven Marshal expects the international students’ return will contribute to recovery of retail, hospitality and tourism industries. It is said that every three international students lead to the creation of one job. From this, it can be estimated that labour shortage in these industries could be predicted.
