Here are some recent updates on state sponsorship occupation lists.
South Australia
The state government has recently updated the state sponsorship occupation lists (the State Nominated Occupation List & the Supplementary Skilled List). The changes will take effect on 11 February.
Metal Fitters and Machinists nec, Locksmith, and Butcher or Smallgoods Maker have been added to the list.
Farm Manager/ Grower occupations, Mathematician, and Real Estate Representative have had English level changes.
Twelve occupations have had the “Special conditions” status removed and will become accessible to more offshore applicants (Read more…).
Queensland
The Queensland Skilled Occupation Lists have been updated on 1 February as quotas have been reached for the financial year 2018-19.
Four occupations have been removed from the list:
– ICT Business Analyst
– Quantity Surveyor
– Construction Project Manager
– Marketing Specialist
The state government may reopen the closed occupations if the current invitees do not respond in the required time frame (Read more…).
