South Australia’s 2022-23 Skilled Migration Program is Now Open

South Australia is the best place to live if you’re looking for a warm, Mediterranean climate, great job opportunities, and a thriving festival and events scene. They just opened their Skilled Migration program, which allows you to immigrate to Australia permanently.

The South Australian government announced opening the 2022-23 Skilled & Business Migration program on August 25, 2022. On that date, 5,880 places in the General Skilled Migration program were allocated to South Australia. If you’re a skilled worker, South Australia offers two visa options for you: the Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190), a permanent visa that allows you to stay in South Australia for good; and The Skilled Work Regional (provisional visa) (subclass 491) will enable you to live and work in South Australia for up to 5 years.

Applicants for the General Skilled Migration program who reside outside Australia

South Australia has announced that it will increase its nominations of skilled offshore migrants in 2022-23. This makes it easier for migrants to enter the state’s labour market due to urgent skills shortages.

South Australia will select state nomination applicants from those who have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect. The state will not require offshore applicants to lodge a Registration of Interest (ROI). The South Australian Government will nominate applicants from the Skilled Migration Occupation List to apply for permanent visas. To be eligible, applicants must ensure that all the information in their Expression of Interest (EOI) is up to date and they have selected South Australia as their first preferred state or territory to move to in Australia.
